Cleve Bastion
back to overview
The Bastion Cleve played a key role in the history of Magdeburg as a fortress city. Remnants of the old Magdeburg slumber beneath the Fürstenwall Park. The city limits used to lie to the south of the cathedral. This was where the fortifications began, walls that were extended several times, making Magdeburg the strongest fortress city in Prussia.
