Monastery of our Lady

The Art Museum in the Monastery of Our Lady is the oldest building in Magdeburg. The monastery was founded by archbishop Gero in the year 1015, and is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture. Today it represents the central point of the Romanesque Route, which runs through the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
